Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. You can create, edit and export CVs without signing in. An account is only needed if your documents should also be on another device or in the browser.

What does the free version include?

Four designs — Modern Split, Classic Serif, Minimal and Bold Header — export free as PDF and PNG, at full resolution and without a Cvilio mark. Every other design saves as a JPEG for free, with a small Cvilio note in the bottom corner; as PDF and PNG they belong to Pro.

Is there Cvilio in the browser?

Yes, at app.cvilio.de. Without an account your CVs stay in that browser; signed in, they are the same as in the app. Pro is bought in the app and then also applies in the browser.

Does the AI write my letter entirely on its own?

It writes a draft from your CV and the job advert. The draft is a start, not a finished letter: read it, change it, and only then send it. A language model can get things convincingly wrong.

What happens to my data?

Without signing in, everything stays on your device. If you sign in, your documents are stored so that they reach your other devices. For the AI cover letter, the text of your CV is sent to the model provider. Exactly what goes where is in the Privacy Policy.

How do I cancel?

Through the subscription settings of the App Store or Google Play, wherever you subscribed — not in the app. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise the subscription renews automatically.
